Signs are an important part of every business. They let people know who you are, what you sell, and they can convey important information about hours, days of business and a dozen other little things. However, standard signs are prone to a lot of problems, particularly from vandals. Whether it's rambunctious hoodlums or a heavy storm coming through though, it's entirely possible to find signs torn off and scattered far and wide. In order to stop this from happening, many businesses are investing in tamper proof standoffs for their signs, which can make it a lot more trouble than it's worth to mess with said signs.
How do Tamper Proof Standoffs Work?
These standoffs are attached to the wall, and they stick out a little under an inch from the wall. The sign is placed so that the corners fit into the standoffs, and then the standoffs are tightened with a screw to ensure that the sign has no give to be pulled off or ripped away. There's no way to easily manipulate a tamper proof standoff, and it requires that someone has the proper tools in the first place. Without them all that lies ahead is a job that will quickly get boring and be worth a great deal more time and effort that casual damage would draw from people.
How Much Do They Cost?
Tamper proof standoffs are actually fairly cheap, as far as business accessories go. They cost a lot in terms of time and effort since one has to mark out where the sign is going, drill the necessary holes, and then set the sign in place (as well as making sure the standoffs have the appropriate support), but after all that, they're a cheap, useful item that can be written off on taxes as expenses.
